Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.
Applications are actually open and will shut on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant will have to satisfy the following requirements:
• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a home using a combined gross household earnings that doesn't exceed R350 000 for each annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined family income won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and wish not submit any proof of earnings.

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 per annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Identity Doc numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored in their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are researching or intend to study in a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously nsfas status check and not to wait until the last day.
Learners do not have to wait for matric results to more info apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
